Pudsey’s new Sunday Craft and Produce Market attracts huge turnout

Hundreds of people flocked to the first Pudsey Craft and Produce Market in Pudsey leaving many traders overwhelmed by the number of shoppers.

The new monthly event which aims to breathe new life into Pudsey town centre as so successful many traders had sold out by 11am.

Stalls included cakes, jams, preserves, meat, vegetables and crafts, amongst others.

Market-goer Patricia Smith posted on Facebook:

“What an amazing couple of hours! A huge success with most stalls totally selling out. When I spoke with the stall holders they all said they’d booked for next month and would bring more stock. Amazing event, very well done all involved – already looking forward to the next one.”

David Cowling added:

“Went this morning to see the market. Lovely to see so many stalls open and Pudsey was buzzing. Well done everyone! I bought lots and lots of lovely things.”

The owner of Little Loaves had almost sold out of his cakes by 11am. They told The Dispatch:

“You never know how these events are going to go, but it’s been very good. Very well attended.”
